This policy describes what Own Your AI ("we") collects on ownyourai.app, how it is used, and the choices you have. The short version: we collect the minimum needed to run the site and memberships, our software is designed to process your content locally on your computer, and we do not sell your data.

What we collect on this site

Email address: if you enter your email to get access, we use it to start your subscription on Substack and to associate your signup with the referring partner when you arrived through a partner link.

Analytics: we use a product analytics service to understand how the site is used. This includes pages viewed, buttons clicked, approximate location derived from your IP address, device and browser information, and, if you arrived through a partner link, the partner identifier. If you sign up, your email is associated with your analytics profile so we can attribute the signup.

Local storage: we store a small set of values in your browser (for example the referring partner and analytics identifiers) to make attribution and analytics work.

What our software collects

Own Your AI tools are designed to process your content (such as speech and text) locally on your computer whenever practical. We do not receive your dictated audio or text. If a future feature requires an online service, that will be clearly identified before you enable it.

Third parties we rely on

Substack processes memberships, payments, and subscriber emails under its own terms and privacy policy.

An analytics provider supplies product analytics for the site.

A hosting provider serves the site and downloads. A DNS provider handles domain routing.

What we do not do

We do not sell your personal information. We do not run third-party advertising trackers on this site. We do not read the content you create with our tools.

Your choices

You can unsubscribe from emails at any time using the link in any email. You can clear your browser's local storage to remove stored identifiers. To ask what we hold about you or to request deletion, email us at the address below.

Data retention

Subscriber information is retained while you are subscribed. Analytics data is retained under our analytics provider's standard retention settings and used in aggregate.

Changes

We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new date.
